In this painting, John Afflick gives us his interpretation of the traditional subject  of Eve's temptation in the Garden Of Eden. Eve and her canine companion are distracted by someone, or something, out of the image, but the species of mushroom in the foreground, Amanita Bisporigera ( the Destroying Angel ) reveals his identity. Eve carries a basket of figs, an indication as to how Adam and herself conceal their nakedness after tasting the forbidden fruit.
