This painting is the first instalment of a new series of works exploring the theoretical impact on the soul as it  journeys through the physical realm to experience that which it is not. 'The Transition' shows the soul blindly entering its earthly incarnation, and experiencing the weight of physicality be it real or perceived, and the burden of forgetfulness as to true essence.
